Birth Preparation classes provided by experienced Registered Midwives, Consultant Obstetricians and a Chartered Physiotherapist providing you with up to date, evidence based information.

The team cares for women, birthing people their babies and families through pregnancy, birth and postnatally who experience every different type of birth.   The team have a wealth of knowledge with experience both worked and lived which they bring to course.

The courses are face to face and facilitated in a way to enable discussion and ensure parents to be are well equipped with the knowledge and confidence to for the next chapter of their lives as a family.

Each couple will be provided with a Packing List, Birth Preferences sheet, Dad Pad/ Co-parent Pad in addition to useful leaflets and tools to compliment the course content. 

Full course – Evening sessions

This is a set of 2 hour sessions held weekly for four weeks from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Refreshments are provided. A great way to meet fellow parents expecting at the same time. The group is for 8 couples aimed to embark the course from no later than 32 weeks gestation.

Full course – Intensive 1 day course

All 4 sessions are provided in a full day 9 – 5pm with Refreshments and lunch included. The group is for 12 couples aimed to embark the course from no later than 36 weeks gestation.

Private Birth Preparation Class

1 hour private session with Dr Clare Redfearn, Consultant Obstetrician.

This session provides a personalised approach for you and you birth partner focusing your own circumstances and preferences.  Couples will receive bespoke antenatal and birth education and can freely ask questions specific for them.

Couple will receive their own Birth Preferences sheet in addition to resources personalised for them.

Preparing for an Induced Labour

A 2 hour evening session provided by a Consultant Obstetrician and Midwife focusing on Induced labour and Birth which blends elements of Session 1 and 2. Refreshments provided.

Wellbeing in the 3rd trimester, Preparing for Birth, Coming to Hospital, Induced labour and Birth step by step, Events that can occur in Induction, Recovery in hospital and at home.  Health optimisation and future pregnancies.

Preparing for a Caesarean Birth

A 2 hour Evening session provided by a Consultant Obstetrician and Midwife on specific aspects relating to a planned Caesarean Birth and recovery. Refreshments provided.
